Detailed
  1. Go to Reports. Open the sidebar menu by pressing the icon in the top-left of the screen or by pressing the Reports button at the bottom-left of the screen. You can also access the Reports screen by pressing the menu option button in the top-right of the screen on the Results screen.
  2. Select Sections to Include. The checked off sections are the ones that will be included in the report you generate. By default, your Profile, Summary, and Filter Summary (if applicable) are all included. To include sections other than Profile, Summary, Filter Summary, and Records, you will require 1 credit.
  3. Customize Sections. Within each section, there may be specific options that can be set, such as the Overlays to be displayed in the Calendar View or the Sort Order of the Records.
  4. Apply a Filter. You can limit which records to include in the report by applying a filter - this includes limiting the records to those within a specific date range.
  5. Choose Report Type. You can use the drop-down selector at the top of the Reports screen to automatically choose a type of report to generate, instead of manually selecting the sections.
  6. Generate an Offline Report. We do not recommend generating this type of report. Choose "Basic (Offline)" if you have not created a Manage My Pain account and don't wish to create one. These reports are very basic, are limited in terms of the sections that can be included, and are not as visually-appealing as the other reports. This report type will not require a credit. After generating a report, a PDF file will be created locally and stored in /sdcard/LifeControlSoftware/ManageMyPain/Reports
  7. View or Email Offline Report. After generating an offline report, you can easily access these reports by selecting the Reports button from the Home screen and choosing View or Email. You can then select the report you wish to view or email. We do not recommend sending your report by email, as this is not a secure form of communication.
  8. Generate an Enhanced Report. Choose "Basic (Enhanced)" if you have created a Manage My Pain account. This report type is does not require a credit and includes your Profile, Summary, and Filter Summary (if applicable).
  9. Generate an Advanced Report. Choose "Advanced (Credit Required)" if you have created a Manage My Pain account and would like the most comprehensive report available. This report requires 1 credit and includes all sections other than Records. You can manually include the Records as well if you see fit.
  10. Access your Enhanced or Advanced Report. After generating a report, you will be emailed a link where the PDF can be downloaded. This link will always be available, and will require you to log in before your report can be accessed.
  11. Purchase Report Credits. You automatically are given 1 credit when you create your account, after which time you will have to purchase additional credits. To do so, click the "Order more" button at the bottom of the Report Screen or within the Account Information section of your Profile. We occassionally run promotions to give away additional credits.

Common questions

Why do you charge credits for reports? The most commonly-used report needed by healthcare professionals is the "Basic (Enhanced)", which does not require a credit. Credits are a way for Lite users to generate a full report without having to purchase the Pro version of the app, and it is also a way for us to continue supporting more comprehensive sections of the report that is only needed by a small segment of our users.

Why do my reports only include 10 records? Any report you generate with the Lite version of the app is limited to including the 10 most recent records. To include more records, you will need to upgrade to Pro or purchase a report credit.

How were these reports created? Our reports were designed in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary pain management team at Canada's largest academic hospital. The reports are intended to be summarized and clinically-relevant, so that healthcare professionals are able to quickly and easily able to get the information they need to make a more effective treatment or diagnosis decision.

How should I send my report to my doctor? Once you access your report from the email link, you will be able to view and download the corresponding PDF file. We do not recommend that you email your report, as this is not a secure form of communication. We recommend printing out your report and bringing it with you to your next clinical visit.
